Nancy Carr - Headshot

Nancy Carr, principal of Carr Communications, is a lifelong writer and editor. She’s the kind of person who feels exhilarated writing a newspaper article on a tight deadline and who bristles at typos on restaurant menus.

Nancy has a master’s degree in journalism and worked for four years at Canada’s newswire service, The Canadian Press, as a general assignment reporter/editor and a business reporter. That’s where she mastered the art of buckling down and producing copy on deadline.

In her five years at Ariad Custom Communications, Nancy honed her marketing and client-relation skills. She led accounts for Canada’s biggest bank, RBC, and the world’s second-biggest mining company, Vale.

She has also worked in the newsrooms of The Globe and Mail, Canadian Business magazine and the Joliet Herald News.

As a freelance communications professional, Nancy writes, rewrites, edits, interviews, researches and brainstorms for her clients.

When she’s not at her desk, she’s spending time with her husband, two sons and their Whoodle in west-end Toronto.
